- ✓Software Only: PoolJar is a tool to help you organize. We are not a bank. All money movement is handled securely by Stripe.
- ✓Organizer Responsibility: If you start a Pool, you are the captain. You are responsible for how that money is spent. PoolJar does not mediate disputes between group members.
- ✓Contributions are Final: All payments are non-refundable. Disputes must be resolved directly with the pool organizer, not through your bank.
- ✓Cover the Fees: Contributors can optionally cover all processing fees so the Organizer receives the full goal amount.
- ✓Play Fair: Don't use PoolJar for anything illegal, shady, or related to gambling.
Formal Terms & Conditions
Relationship to Stripe
Payment processing services for Organizers on PoolJar are provided by Stripe and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Terms of Service. By agreeing to these terms, you agree to be bound by the Stripe Services Agreement, as the same may be modified by Stripe from time to time.
Role of PoolJar (G6 Studio)
PoolJar provides the user interface and orchestration logic to facilitate group collections. PoolJar is not a party to the transactions between Organizers and Contributors. We do not hold, possess, or control any funds at any point in the transaction lifecycle.
Refunds and Disputes
Because funds are transferred directly from the Contributor to the Organizer's Stripe account, PoolJar cannot initiate refunds. Any request for a refund must be handled directly between the Contributor and the Organizer. The PoolJar platform fee is a service fee for the use of the software and is non-refundable. By completing a payment, you acknowledge that your contribution is final and non-refundable. Filing a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank for a transaction you authorized may result in your access to PoolJar being suspended.
Payment Authentication
To protect Contributors and Organizers from unauthorized transactions, PoolJar may require additional authentication (such as 3D Secure verification) for certain payments. This authentication shifts fraud liability to the card issuer and provides evidence that the cardholder authorized the transaction. Apple Pay and Google Pay transactions are authenticated via biometric verification (Face ID, fingerprint, or device passcode) on your device.
Fraud Prevention Data
When you make a payment through PoolJar, we collect and transmit your IP address and browser information to our payment processor (Stripe) as part of the transaction record. This data is used solely for fraud prevention and chargeback dispute resolution. For more details, see our Privacy Policy.
Optional Fee Coverage
Contributors may opt-in to cover all transaction fees (Stripe processing fees and PoolJar platform fee) so the Organizer receives the full intended contribution amount. This is an optional convenience feature and the additional fees paid are non-refundable.
Limitation of Liability
In no event shall G6 Studio be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount of platform fees you have paid to us in the last 12 months.
Tax & 1099-K Disclosure

- ✓IRS Thresholds: If you collect over a certain amount (currently $600 in the US), Stripe may be required to generate a Form 1099-K in your name.
- ✓Reporting: PoolJar provides a CSV export of your Net Payouts to assist with tax reporting, but PoolJar does not provide tax advice.
- ✓Classification: It is the Organizer's responsibility to determine if the funds collected are taxable income or reimbursements.
